rocess of making a film is inextricably linked to the scenario that serves as a working guide. A writer constructs a story using story structure by developing story ideas into scenarios. This study explores the story ideas in perceiving messages of gender equality in the film scenario of “Hilang”. The structure of the story of each scene show by the main character will be explained to convey the message. Discover The author applies Dan Harmon Story Circle Theory in “Hilang” Scenario, based on the foundation of subject, and subject matter. Dan Harmon Story Circle structure to create appropriate story structure which is divided into eight parts : a character is in a zone of comfort, but they want something, they enter an unfamiliar situation, adapt to it, get what they wanted, pay a heavy price for it, then return to their familiar situation, and having changed. Dan Harmon Story Circle explain the main character in the screenplay will be faced with an unexpected situation and must pay dearly for something the character wants. In writing a screenplay, the writer must know every format used and must be able to understand the terms used in writing. The selection of the type story, also facilitates the development of the story structure after doing step by step, until the completion of the film script entitled “Hilang” and the completion of writing a report on the script.
