Abstract:
1. Investigation and observation of the F5 machine revealed four problems as the
main contributors to the high frequency of brief pauses, including Based on
information about production-related damage, the operator changes the plate or
screen. The damage brought on by the plate's or screen's end is not identified by the
operator team in order to carry out replacement against the plate, resulting in
improper monitoring of the plate's service life. Less precise and in-depth visual
management information is provided for task instructions. The directions provided
are not particular to the manual's mentioned settings. The instruction manual stated
that using a pressure handle, the process of decreasing the plate position was to be
done gradually. Setting the distance crossbar and master register after that is not
recommended. When the cross bars are not appropriate, one of the elements
contributing to the miss register label or not in accordance is the miss tolerance
between the cross bars. The anilox pressure is adjusted by the operator. Because the
operator is unaware of the obstruction that has occurred in the anilox state, this is
what the operator does.
2. Improvements were made to this problem such as Monitoring the service life and
remaining plate life by recording the use of the revised F5 machine in the CIMS
application, Revision of Visual Management, a manual for using the F5 device. It
would be more accurate to provide the information "Lower the plate position slowly
using handle pressure" since the adjustment is exclusively targeted at the register
plate section. to protect the food from contamination and harm, by altering the ideal
crossbar distance setting in accordance with the outcomes of the trials, the Work
Instructions for "How to Set Cross Bars on the F5 EMS 410 Machine" have been
50
revised. The ideal setting is obtained from the third of the numerous trials, which
has a maximum tolerance of 0.75 mm and a speed of 10 mt/min and previously, the
operator would set the anilox pressure at 6 bar, which is now the normal value. The
recommended pressure is 4 bar, according to the instructions. Then adjustments are
made to these parameters for the best printing outcomes and to guard against anilox
damage, as too-high anilox pressure can cause the anilox to corrode and leak.
There was a decrease in the frequency of labels concerning pareto problems, which
decreased from 728 incidents to 90 incidents. Even though the Pareto problem has
been overcome, there are still minor stops that still occur on the F5 machine, namely
UV shutter errors, tooling, PPIC/warehouse and INK. For the average achievement
of Performance Rate (PR) before repair, namely 46,06%, after improvement to
91.55%. By increasing the value of the OEE supporting aspects, it has an impact on
the OEE value, which rises to 53,45%. Even though at the same time there was an
increase in the Availability Rate due to the alignment of the company's policies and
also the quality improvement carried out by the QC team to increase the Quality
Rate. Performance Rate remains a major problem and provides the biggest
contribution to the OEE value.
