Sound is an element that plays an important role in the film because it can enhance the audience's
experience by immersing them in the story, not only as a complement to the visuals on the screen.
The study shows that Acousmatic off-screen sound on sound in movies is important in creating
audience meaning and experience. This sound can be used to provide information that is not
visible in pictures. Using a particular technique to create the desired effect. This film comes from
dialogue, Vocal expression, and intensity of sound (sound pressure). The sound element in this
film effectively conveys information additively to the audience. Sound has the advantage that
even without visuals it can explain something, namely visuals without sound can be understood
but the sound is also equivalent to visuals. And in this research, when this concept is applied, it
has a weakness: the audience can lose orientation as to who is speaking. In my findings, in some
scenes, it can be identified only with dialogue elements.Applying this Acousmatic off-screen film
without visible visuals makes it attractive and gives the audience a certain impression of effect.
The use of sound in film can elevate audience emotions, intensify moods, and create a powerful
impact on audiences. Make the character film and Audiences can feel happy, sad, touched, and so
on. |
