POST-DISASTER COMMUNICATION DOCUMENTARY SERIES: KAMPUNG PASIR CAU KULON RISE AND RECOVERY

Abstract

By producing a journalistic work, in the form of documentation, we hope that this product can provide information benefits to the audience regarding the condition of Kampung Pasir Cau Kulon, after the earthquake. At the time of carrying out the project, the Cianjur earthquake had passed for approximately 3 months. Therefore, by making a documentary journalistic work, which describes the condition of Kampung Pasir Cau Kulon, Cianjur, we hope to be able to provide information about what happened there. With this information, we hope that audience involvement in encouraging change can occur. In this case, we use documentaries with the type of science in which we cover disaster journalism by providing education on dealing with trauma healing to elementary school students at SDN 01 Kembang Manis and the clean water crisis by building filtering tanks after the earthquake in Cianjur. Through journalistic works in the form of video documentaries consisting of 4 episodes, it is hoped that audiences can clearly perceive environmental conditions and social realities after the earthquake.
