In 2015, the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agenda / UNSC Resolution 2250 was born
and became a new guideline and reminder for countries to empower youth, especially in any
peace-building efforts, at the domestic and international levels. The Jokowi government then
began implementing various kinds of program innovations that were considered to be able to help
improve the quality of youth as well as stimulate the level of youth involvement in various
international issues, including the issue of peace building. Therefore, this paper will focus on
analyzing the level of support from the Indonesian government for youth, more specifically to the
Youth, Peace and Security agenda. Using primary data sources (government data & reports) and
secondary data sources (news, journals & articles), this paper will present a list of information
about the programs and strategies taken by the government and the results obtained from these
various programs and strategies. |
