dc.description.abstract Violence against children, both physical, sexual and psychological, is the most common child welfare issue in Indonesia in 2021. Serious actions and handling that have an effect on both victims and perpetrators are urgently needed to reduce this issue. This article examines the role of Wahana Visi Indonesia as a humanitarian organization that focuses on the issue of child welfare in dealing with cases of violence. Data were obtained from interviews and mostly from literature reviews in WVI’s annual reports, and online documents, as well as data references from the internet. This article proves that WVI plays an important role in providing protection for children in Indonesia, because as government partners, WVI and the government work together to make the child protection system program a success in Indonesia, both in terms of access or affordability and in terms of the quality of the programs. Not only presenting solutions in the form of programs to eliminate and prevent violence against children. We can also see the role of WVI as a non-governmental organization to build the trust of the community, government, policy-makers, and others to understand that the issue of violence against children is not just a “family matter." Instead, violence against children is a fundamentally global problem. We must eliminate this issue by being consciously aware of achieving a common interest, SDG No. 16. A safe world for children because they are the generation and hope of the nation in the future. en_US
