dc.description.abstract Japan is a developed country. Since 1980 Japan has been able to improve its economy well. The Japanese government also hopes to increase interactions and contributions to the international community so that it can become an influential country in the international world. Japan also opens opportunities for countries that have cooperative relations with Japan. Japan opens job opportunities for foreign workers to work in Japan. Japan also opens opportunities for Indonesian workers to work in Japan. Japan opens up job opportunities and provides an attraction for Indonesian citizens who want to work in Japan. Immigrants are given language and culture training. Cultural change is not an easy thing. Work programs in Japan are usually 3-4 years, with an agreement not to return to the country of origin for any reason. The theory used in this study uses Hofstede's theory. Hofstede's theory is used to understand the concept of culture and how culture affects each migrant. The method used in this paper is qualitative by taking the latest data sources. Data collected to support this paper by conducting interviews with immigrants who work and study in Japan, read online articles, and read journals related to research. en_US
