Abstract:
This Capstone Design Project, titled "CulturaVista Aceh," aims to develop a Virtual
Reality (VR) tourism application that enhances local cultural awareness, exploits untapped
tourism potential, and revitalizes the use of the Acehnese language. The project addresses the
insufficient access to advanced technological solutions, particularly VR, which hinders the local
population's understanding and appreciation of Aceh's rich cultural heritage. The proposed
solution involves the creation of an immersive VR experience that includes language learning
modules, interactive virtual interactions with local communities, and culinary showcases. The
application is designed to cater to users with varying levels of VR familiarity and education,
ensuring inclusivity and accessibility. The project's objectives are to boost local cultural
awareness, stimulate tourism, and revitalize the use of the Acehnese language. The proposed
solution leverages cutting-edge VR technology to bridge technological gaps, enhance cultural
education, and foster a sustainable appreciation and celebration of Aceh's unique cultural
identity.
