dc.description.abstract |
The research attempts to find out how does the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as the lead agency of the United States Government in responding humanitarian emergencies and natural disasters overseas. The United States through USAID that become the largest donor in Haiti since 1970s. USAID - Haiti relationship become more prominent after the earthquake struck in 2010. USAID had implemented several programs of the United States government in order to rebuilding Haiti after earthquake. The earthquake destroyed the public health infrastructure and worsening the condition in Haiti. In responding those situations, public health sector reconstruction becomes one of the main focuses of the USAID. This paper would like to elaborate the role of the USAID programs in rebuilding process of public health sector on Haiti after 2010. The writer put timeline on 2010 - 2012 due to the significant activities of USAID on that period. |
