dc.description.abstract The research aims to implementation of Alih wahana on the novel "Kasih Tak Sampai" by Damai Widya in writing the scenario film "Hari Valentine Kakek" screenplay. The research method in the research is qualitative method with an artistic research approach. Alih wahana can be done or applied into two strategies, narrative strategy, and visual strategy. The narrative strategy would decide whether a film would take all elements, half elements, or small elements of a novel into a film. In visual strategy, a film would require properties and other additional visual components that would intensify the impression of the film. From the result, it can be seen that the novel "Kasih Tak Sampai" by Damai Widya in writing the scenario for the film "Hari Valentine Kakek" used Alih Wahana theory that adapted the elements from the novel "Kasih Tak Sampai" by Damai Widya. en_US
