dc.description.abstract The issue of climate change and environment destruction has become one major global issue since the end of twentieth century. The issue has triggered some phenomenon happened in every part of the world such as the extreme heat pressure, storms, droughts, and the melting of ice glacier which leads into the rising of sea level. The United Nations member countries have stressed their concern on the issue and together keep preparing actual strategies for mitigating actions. One of the recent products by United Nations is called Reducing Emission from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) that expected to be able to reduce Greenhouse Gases emission from deforestation and sustains the management of forest as well the enrichment of forest carbon stocks. This study is to explain the implementation of REDD+ program in Indonesia. This study is significant in carrying explanation concerning on implementation of REDD+ National Programme in Indonesia by bonding partnership with Government of Norway. The study specifically discusses the partnership’s preparation step as the first attempt of the program’s full implementation in 2014. The study takes 2010 until 2011 as the timeframe to give elaboration on the preparation phase of the partnership. In the particular phase of the partnership, the agenda is to get Indonesia prepared by developing national strategies or action plans, policies and measures, and capacity building. Thus, this research is descriptive and analytical research which applies qualitative approach through literature study from Indonesia REDD+ Task Force, various involved UN agencies, and independent evaluating agencies. en_US
