Job Venture 2025 is a collaborative initiative to equip vocational high school students in Indonesia who want to work abroad with necessary skills, knowledge, and awareness to work abroad safely. The project was motivated by persistent challenges faced by Indonesian workers overseas, including lack of pre-departure information, insufficient cultural and legal orientation, and limited counseling from relevant institutions. These gaps have contributed to incidents of human exploitation, human trafficking, and labor rights violation.
The program integrated legal literacy, documents making, cultural adaptations, and diaspora security. The theoretical framework drew from Migration theory. Push-Pull Factor theory, Dual Labor Market Theory, and Human Trafficking ensuring that the approach addressed both economic motivations and social risks of migration. By establishing transparent information channels and fostering collaboration between institutions, Job Venture aims to reduce irregular migration and improve the quality and safety of Indonesia's labor migration. |
