This change influenced the direction of Indonesia's foreign policy to more emphasize the success of democratic transformation of Indonesia. The government of Indonesia intended to promote the positive image of Indonesia as the role model of democratic country by establishing Bali Democracy Forum and partnered it with Institute of Peace and Democracy. The government of Indonesia involves Indonesia's soft power, first track diplomacy, and second track diplomacy approaches to optimize its effort.
