SECURING HOMELESS PEOPLE FROM SOCIAL PROBLEM IN INDONESIA THORUGH THEIR INVOLVEMENT IN HOMELESS WORLD CUP ORGANIZATION AND RUMAH CEMARA AS SOCIAL CHANGE AGENT (2011 - 2014)

Abstract

Homelessness is perceived as social problems in many countries. Many ways has been done to solve the problem. One of the ways is through international organizations. International organization can be used to resolve the problem of homelessness by doing a special program. Homeless World Cup is an international non-governmental organization using sport diplomacy to help homeless people in the world and Indonesia. The program is not only to give help for homeless people but also involve them directly in program while Rumah Cemara is the national partner from Indonesia that bridging Indonesia with Homeless World Cup. Rumah Cemara is a national organization in social field. This research describes and analyze about the Homeless World Cup program and Indonesia's involvement in it through books, internet websites, and primary resources. So far Indonesia's involvement in the Homeless World Cup is reducing the problem. Since first participating in 2011 Indonesia has pretty successful achievements. This is show that the Homeless World Cup sport diplomacy program is so effective. Homeless World Cup able to give direct effect to social change by involving homeless people directly. By doing this research, researcher gets a lot of new experience and this research also will be very useful for other people.
