ANALYSIS ON THE IMPACT OF CONFLICT TOWARD THE FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT IN MOLUCCAS (1997-2004)

Abstract

This thesis attempts to analyze the influence of conflict which happened in 1999-2002 Moluccas toward the flow of Foreign Direct Investment in Moluccas. This thesis provides detailed information about the conflict in Moluccas, the investment of Moluccas, and also the flow of Foreign Direct Investment in Moluccas from (1997-2004). The method that used in this research is qualitative method that gains from library research that analyzes the relevance between the effect of conflict which happened in Ambon and the flow of Foreign Direct Investment in Moluccas. Conflict in Ambon that happened during 1999-2002 is one of the largest horizontal social conflicts that gave rise to variety negative effects on the socio-economic life of the people in Moluccas. This also adds to the burden of local governments in the implementation of development. It directly affected the growth of foreign investment in Moluccas.
