THE ENHANCEMENT OF WAREHOUSE SYSTEM TO INCREASE THE PROFIT OF A COMPANY ( A CASE STUDY OF MODULU AT PT SYSTEM INDONESIA )

Abstract

An effective Warehouse Management System holds a critical role in the Supply Chain sector of a company and it is believe that it gives a direct influence to the profitability and productivity of a company. This is caused by the influence of warehousing activity in compressing the company costs and expenses which expected to support the effort of increasing the revenue to reach the desired profit. Enhancing new technology and more efficient system in the warehousing department might be a considerable solution to increase profit, hence this research will study how the enhancement of warehouse system can give a significant effect to the profit of a company which will be focusing on the case of how the application of Modula, an automatic warehouse machine, can increase the profit of PT. System Indonesia. The method used for this research is Qualitative and interviews was held as data collecting activity.
