dc.description.abstract Refugees and asylum seekers issue is one of the major issues in the world. They have several entities which have strong relationship with one another; war, peace, states, territorial, migrant, culture, and even people smuggling. However the refugee and asylum seekers issue in Indonesia is not being understood very well by the citizens. The lack of understanding of the issue brings concern to the researcher as the issue is apparently growing for years. Asylum seekers arrival registered have a significant increase on 2008 to the 2009 and keep increased until 2012. Therefore, the researcher chooses the refugee and asylum seekers topic for the research as one of the researcher.s objectives to raise the awareness of the readers towards the issue. The increasing of the arrival of asylum seekers and refugees into Indonesia has an interesting part to the researcher, which is the effect on societal insecurity sector with case study of Cisarua neighborhood. The researcher chooses the time framework from 2008 . 2012 because the significance increase of the asylum seekers into Indonesia and for the data range used in this paper. This research uses the qualitative method because the researcher feels it is the most suitable for the topic chosen and more familiar to be written. The term .refugees. found in this paper refer to the foreign refugees, not the domestic or local refugee. This research shows several highlights to the effects of societal insecurity of refugees and asylum seekers arrival into indonesia on 2008 . 2012: the case of cisarua community; 1) Illegal drugs abuse, 2) Religious radicalism, 3) Temporary marriage, and 4) Daily life societal insecurity en_US
