Abstract:
Nowadays, with the development of high technology and bank science, payment card – a safe, convenient, non- cash payment method has been released. It replaces for many traditional payment methods that is not suitable for many circumstances gradually. There are more and more payment card are issued and used in a large scale, especially in international payment system. VietinBank - was one the top banks that brought card payment services to Vietnam. After manyyears of activity in this area, VietinBank has gained certain achievements. But there are still many difficulties and limitations in developing card services to become sustainable in Vietnam. This research uses quantitative analysis with primary data to analyze the factors that affect on payment card developing ability in commercial bank. Quantitative analysis consists of classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, hypothesis testing by T test and F test, and determination coefficient (R2) analysis. Based on all the findings, some expectations about the future of Payment card services in VietinBank - Hanoi Branch are inferred. After all, the researcher came to conclusion that all four factors that have been stated out in this research have positive effect on the Payment card developing ability at VietinBank. Based on this result, the bank should focus in many aspects in order to develop a sustainable payment card service and attract lot customers in future.
