Abstract:
This thesis paper is about analysis of the dominant factor of Museums in Jakarta as a tourism site as a part of economic income in Indonesia. The purpose of the research is to know the influencing factors that dominantly the respondent of not choosing museums in Jakarta as their tourism site. The research is conducted in President University, by participated 65 respondent randomly and using questionnaire with Likert scale method. Likert scale method contains 5 scale of answer in every statement by using analysis factors method as statistical treatment to find the dominant factors to the subject. The empirical result shown that dominant factors that influence the respondents the most is a museums to have a well-maintained public facilities, to have an attractive program, to be accessible for everyone, including the disable, and to have a well-trained interpreter to gives accurate information about the collection in the museums in Jakarta The suggestion that researcher can offer in this research is that the museums in Jakarta need to start for a better change in service, such as having well-maintained public facility. By doing so, researcher thinks that museums in Jakarta could be one from several choice of educative tourism.
