Abstract:
Fleets are the essential component of every logistic company, they are medium totransport goods from point A to point B. But once in a while, accident might happen to these fleets. The breakdown could be caused by a lot of things, such as machine overheat, external forces, or lack of regular maintenance, this make the fleets loss it’s productivity and cost a high amount of money just for maintenance, which is IDR 19,942,190. Thankfully, the last cause that is mentioned could be controled by the company, therefore prevent it from happening. As the manufacturer of these fleets recommend, one of the regular maintenance that each fleet need to do to keep it high performance is the km based maintenance. But the problem happens when the maintenance officer did not have the budget ready to pay the service center because it will delay the productivity of the fleets. Therefore, to estimate the cost of maintenance and make maintenance budgeting is an important aspect that is need to be added. One of the ways to make maintenance scheduling and estimate the cost is to forecast the incremental of the km record of each fleets by using linear regression analysis or double exponential smoothing Holt method. With this new proposed method, it will increase productivity by reducing the downtime of each fleet and also saving cost for up to 21.82% when compared to the current method.
