Abstract:
In recent years, many companies tried to obtain money through the IPO (Initial Public Offering) process and hoping that the share price will keep increasing afterwards. However, the shares price after IPO are unpredictable and can increase or decrease without any notice. Therefore, this research aims to figure out whether the stock price after IPO will going up or down and which one of the three possibilities (Share undervalued, Indonesia macro-economic situation, or JKSE Index factor) that have a significant effect on it. The samples used in this research are 7 company in Indonesia that have done the IPO process in 2017. The result of this study is the stock price increased after the IPO, and the factor that have a significant effect on the stock price is the Indonesia macro-economic situation. Future research can try to obtain more data by requesting to IDX regarding the company’s financial information before doing the IPO.
