Abstract:
The purpose of this study to analyze the sustainability factors of women
entrepreneurship in Indonesia, specifically in the micro business of food and
beverage industry. This topic is important to identify the sustainability factors of
micro business owned by women in Indonesia because women play a crucial
role in financing her family daily life in the absence of her husband role. On the
other hand, this woman has a lack of entrepreneurship literacy; therefore they
experience financial losses during the beginning of her micro business.
Furthermore, sustainability factors become urgently needed to empower women
entrepreneurs in micro business to sustain their business. This study is a
descriptive explanatory using qualitative data through a structural questioner and
following by deep interview of 8 (eight) women entrepreneurs in micro business
with a length of a business minimum of 2 (two) years. This study emphasizes on 9
(nine) factors of business canvass; in order to identify the sustainability factors of
women entrepreneurship in micro business. This study shows that value
proposition, key partners, key resources, distribution channel, customer
relationship, key activities, revenue stream, and customer segment are crucial to
sustaining the micro business that owned by women entrepreneurship. This study
finds that women entrepreneurs have difficulty to manage their financial,
especially cost structure. Therefore, this study suggests that women
entrepreneurship in micro business need to be equipped with financial literacy in
order to increase profitability and to sustain their micro business.
