Most of MSMEs has a problem with the quality of human resources. It affects
the management of its business thus the MSMEs is difficult to develop optimally, to
understand and to adopt new technological development to enhance the product
competitiveness (Ratnasari, 2013). A number of Micro and Small Medium
Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bekasi stopped their production because they were not able
to compete with others in the market. The MSMEs needs entrepreneurship spirit
which is a solution to grow and to continuously develop the business (Roomi, 2012).
Thus, the objective of this research is to study the relationship between
entrepreneurial dimension and employee’s job performance of Micro and Small
Medium Enterprises’ employees of Doll Manufacturers in Bekasi Municipality in
order to give appropriate suggestion about entrepreneurship knowledge or
entrepreneurship skill that is needed by them to enhance their job performance. This
research is limited to analyze entrepreneurial dimension (pro activeness, risk taking,
innovativeness, competitive aggressiveness, autonomy and self competency) and
employee’s job performance. The researcher used quantitative research method by
collecting 207 questionnaires then analyzed validity of the data with factor analysis
and used Cronbach’s Alpha to measure the reliability. By using the multiple
regressions the researcher found that entrepreneurial dimension which are pro
activeness, risk taking, innovativeness, competitive aggressiveness and self
competency collectively give significant influences on employees’ job performance. |
