Abstract:
Event management conventionally requires people to be registered to an event and to be verified which is not practical and takes a long time. Furthermore, the data collected from the registration have a risk of loss or misplaced. An event management should make the ongoing of events that is efficient and less time consuming for event organizers and participants alike. In order to solve the problems, the solution proposed in this thesis is to create a web application for event management called “My-TIX”.
This web application allows user or participants to register to event and for officers to verify participants’ registration. The application issues a Quick Response code as access code for each participant to register to the event. The application also allows the access code to be scanned for verification. This application allows administrator to add or remove events that will be held. This application also use online payment for purchasing the ticket. However, the online payment is only for simulation.
This application has answered the needs of event management by working properly according to the tests conducted. However, there are still limitations to this application, for instance, its automated payment for purchasing the tickets. Therefore, this application can be developed more for future works.
