Abstract:
During Industrial Revolution 4.0 transformation, human resource development become one of major aspects that plays a big role in order to support it. The competencies of managers lead company into a new level that very specify its existence. As the key behavior for company itself, competencies often stated as success factor of the company. This research paper conducted to analyze competencies that may help the company grow bigger in this Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. The analysis focused on middle-to-top level of employee in selected companies. This research is quantitative using a questionnaire method which is distributed to middle-to-top staff. After making the questionnaire, the researchers conducted a pilot test distributed to 30 respondents. After the data is believed to have been valid and reliable, the researchers calculate the number of samples. After obtaining the number of samples, researchers distribute questionnaires within a predetermined period of time. After the data has been collected and declared sufficient, the data is processed by exploratory factor analysis. This method is used to determine the relationship between each indicator and its latent variables. After all variables are stated to be related to the variable being tested, the writer immediately analyzes the gap that occurs between the two conditions under study. Current condition and respondent's expectation. After the gap is found, an analysis is performed to determine the problem solving method. The results obtained are managers as the target of the study, otherwise unable to meet the requirements needed to be declared ready to face industrial revolution 4.0. To conclude, it takes at least six competencies that a manager has to deal with industrial revolution 4.0. To be able to meet these criteria, managers are expected to go to the field more often and understand more deeply each of their work.
