dc.description.abstract This study is entitled “Framing the Objection of Draft Bills as Social Movements: The Case of Detik.com and Tempo.co”. The purpose of this study is to examine how the media Detik.com and Tempo.co frame the social movements by students. This research uses the theory of framing Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki which divides into four structures how the media form a reality: syntactical, script, thematical, rhetorical. The research method used is a qualitative method. Data collection was taken from media sources Detik.com and Tempo.co, with the reporting period from 24 – 30 September 2019. Data analysis uses social movement theory, framing, and media framing and social movements. The findings of the data show that Detik.com framed riots on the action caused by students, while Tempo.co framed riots on the action due to tear gas shots carried out by the apparatus. en_US
