Film has some processes during its production. The most important process is post production, because this is where the whole outcome is being finalized. In post-production, the whole results of production are being collected, then into a whole film. In editing, there are multiple concepts that can be used to deliver message and convey meaning to the audience, among others are Kuleshov Effect. This research discusses the Kuleshov Effect in editing. Editors have used Kuleshov Effect technique in their editing for decades. This is because Kuleshov Effect is considered as the single most important concept of editing, if not to filmmaking itself. The research and design report on the post production of this film will dig deeper into the Kuleshov Effect technique itself. Matters to be discussed include the definition of Kuleshov Effect, the history of Kuleshov Effect and also its application film Blank Canvas. In this research, I will apply Kuleshov Effect technique in editing to reveal dramatic expression in Blank Canvas film. |
