dc.description.abstract ABSTRACT The end of the Cold War changed the dynamics of world conflict and raised the security focus of traditional security into non-traditional security. The end of the Cold War also prompted the United Nations to boost its international role through peacekeeping operations. The UN Security Council is conducting a larger and more complex peacekeeping operation involving many components, one of which involves components such as the police, often to help implement a comprehensive peace agreement between the warring parties in the conflict. This study aims to analyze the contribution of Indonesian National Police and United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations in maintaining the human security over the conflict in Darfur, Sudan (2014-2015). This research also aims to provide knowledge to the public regarding the efforts of the police, especially the Formed Police Unit in maintaining security and humanitarian stability against conflicts in other countries. This study used a qualitative approach with various literature and documentary data sources. From the results of the research it can be explained that the mission of the Indonesian FPU Task Force has a significant role in maintaining human security in Darfur-Sudan, as evidenced by the emergence of a sense of security and trust from the community towards the Task Force of FPU Indonesia. en_US
