Abstract:
Millennials define as one generation that was born between years 1980-2000. In the workplace, millennials also having different characteristics and approaches to the previous generation. These different generational become the most complex problems inside the workplace. Finally, it impacts much toward low engagement for millennials. This research has objective to find out the influence of leadership, career development, nature of work, and reward toward employee engagement of millennial generations in the workplace. This research used a quantitative method with multiple linear regression as data analysis. Moreover, this study has been conducted with 110 workers inside the manufacturing industry in the Cikarang area. The following T-test results found about all of the three independent variables like leadership, career development, and reward has significant influences. However, the nature of work seems did not have a significant influence towards employee engagement of millennial generation in the workplace. Following study also find a simultaneous influence of all predictor’s variable toward employee engagement of the millennial generation in the workplace. This result shows a value of around 68.2 % for leadership, career development and reward toward employee engagement of millennials.
