Tourism is one of the important sector where has a great potential for national economic diver to spur higher economic growth. Tourism also play significant role in order to promote nation identity and encourage society to proud of cultural wealth by introduced products in a country such as; arts, culture, properties, uniqueness of nature and sea, and also encourage society to preservation the natural environment and traditional cultural. Tourism development in Indonesia could give benefit for the field of economic, increase Indonesia reputation in international world, increase welfare of society, and provide expansion of job demand. Ministry of Tourism has marketing framework which purposed to promote and attract Indonesia tourism through Wonderful Indonesia as Indonesia nation branding around the world including Australia. The Ministry of Tourism‟s marketing framework is Indonesia Public Diplomacy tool to achieve national interest where tourism sector is one of the national priority developments and listed in National Medium Term Development (RPJMN) 2015 -2019. Ministry of Tourism has been successfully promote wonderful Indonesia in Australia where the number of Australia tourists that visit Indonesia increase from 2015 to 2016. The increasing of Australia tourists gives a significant contribution to the increasing of Indonesia GDP, foreign exchange, employment absorption and also strengthens Indonesia – Australia bilateral relation during the Wonderful Indonesia promotion in Australia. . The target of this research is to articulate on how Wonderful Indonesia could increase the number of foreign tourist from Australia. The material and data for this research were obtained from official publication of government, direct statement or official statement from Indonesia. This research also uses Journals, Books, and News related to Public Diplomacy, and Nation Branding. |
