Match cut is powerful, yet hidden tool to create continuity, as its presence in film is often overlook by the audience. Match cut, using its invisible properties creates an invisible jump in time and space, resulting in the continuity of emotion between scenes of different time and spaces, as its presence as a transition did not conclude a situation that occurs on screen. This research aims to create connection between scene that differ in time and space in the story, yet carry the same emotion, and how does match cut as a transition creates that effect in “The Little Secret in Backyard” Film. |
