Abstract:
Purpose
The purpose of this research is focus on analyzing the motivational factor of pull and
push factor toward travel decision to Singapore, moreover, this research focus on
millennial (age 18-30 years) that researcher discussed what the factor influence travel
decision.
Design / methodology
This research is quantitative research using primary data from 205 visitors, selected by
non-probability sampling technique. Variables used are interpersonal motivation and
educational purpose factor (push factors), and attraction and quality of service (the pull
factors).
Findings
The result shows the pull factor is more dominant than the pull factor. Interpersonal
motivation is not significantly influence travel decision to Singapore, but the rest of
variable, education purpose, heritage attraction and quality service have significant
influences toward travel decision to Singapore. More detail, the visitors decided to visit
Singapore because of good quality service of Singapore.
Value
This research aim to provide insight for travelers and other readers that interesting in
travel and hospitality, whether push and pull factor is significantly influence travel
decision to Singapore.
