dc.description.abstract Scheduling in manufacturing company is very necessary for running its production. Especially for the company which has multistage production, thus a good scheduling is very beneficial. Cable industry is flowshop manufacturing industry where there are several stages with parallel machines for each stages, thus good scheduling method is really worthwhile in order to accomplish the orders on time. Flowshop with parallel machines means that if there is a lateness in one of the stage, then it will be affect for the next stage until the finish product. For each stages, there are several requirements that should be watched before the production process is began. In capital intensive industries, there are several older machines that still not replace with the modern machine because of high replacement cost. Therefore, hybrid flowshop as a multistage flowshop with parallel machines at each stage with several requirements in each machines is the best method in order to get a good scheduling method in cable industry. The method that will be used are earliest completion time heuristic (ECTH) – fastest available machine heuristic (FAMH) with several additional requirements for each stage. The result of ECTH-FAMH is aim to reduce the lateness by 100% from current scheduling and saving cost by more than 50%. en_US
