dc.description.abstract PT. HS is a company that concerning on automotive industry. The location of this company is in West Java Indonesia. The problem that happens in PT.HS is due to too much wasted material in production process that have no added value or benefit. The objective of this research is to identify the kinds of waste and make improvement to reduce the waste. In this research, the method that will be used to identify and reduce the waste is Lean Six Sigma concept. With Lean Six Sigma concept, the waste of material in PT. HS can be reduced each month. The research conducted is following the method of DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improvement and control). From define phase with Pareto Diagram it is known that waste of material occurs in assembling department in the trimming area, when doing the process Flushing hematite sealer WS 222. In the process, Fishbone diagram is used to find the root of the problem. The root of the problem in this case is there is no guide in doing the process of flushing hematite sealer WS 222. From the improvement activity, the new idea proposed is to provide guidance to the workers in doing the process of flushing hematite sealer and recycle waste of material hematite sealer. en_US
