PT. PQR the Packaging Manufacturer has been faced the low OEE rates in period between January-February 2022. It appears to be the OEE rates getting lower because of the issues happened to their Main Machine, which is KBA 2 in printing area. The OEE of KBA 2 bottomed to be 20%-22% in monthly record in February 2022. As one of the biggest packaging manufacturers, OEE is important. Because it measures company capability and performance in overall. Thus, the research with aims to increasing KBA 2 OEE is conducted from January to April 2022. The research got the result that the main issues is came from machine Availability. KBA 2 has not much time to process the item because of high numbers of unplanned stops and also the changeover is taking a long time. Therefore, this research was focused to improve KBA 2 availability by implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) that focused on the Planned Maintenance (PM) for several parts of KBA 2. As for the Changeover, Single Minute Exchange Dies (SMED) was implemented to reduce the changeover time. The result obtained in April 2022 that the overall OEE, is increased by 30% in average from 22% to 53%. Because the availability is increased from 43% to 73% in average after improvement, the company can save the cost from IDR 598,000,000 to IDR 260,166,667 as the result of reducing the total loss time. |
