dc.description.abstract Instagram, being one of the most popular social media platforms today, encourages people to engage in online activities. Instagram is used for a different purpose, including sharing their personal information. This type of activity is defined as self-disclosure through online platform. Young adults, as one of the age groups who use Instagram for communication and relationship development, it may lead to the emergence of online self-disclosure. The purpose of this study is to identify the influence of utilization social Media Instagram platform towards Self-Disclosure in young adults and to find out the significance influence of social media Instagram usage towards Self-Disclosure on young adults. The method used in this study is quantitative research, distributed the online questionnaires to 200 young adults with age range 18 to 40 years old in Indonesia. The population in this study involved 200 respondents which are categorized as young adults and Instagram users in Indonesia with convenience sampling technique. The data analyzed using simple linear regression test with the result showed 40.2% influence between social media Instagram usage and self-disclosure in young adults. While 59.8% is a factor that was not discussed in this study so it can be investigate by future researcher. en_US
