Abstract:
Material handling is one of important process in a manufacturing company. Company should pay attention to the detail of material handling process, because after all the process in production line, material handling is the finishing process from the flow of production in a manufacturing company. This research will focus on material handling process, delivery finished goods from production line to warehouse. The objective of this research is to eliminating the waste (non value added) and reducing the cost in material handling process, where in this research will using one of automation innovation which is automated guided vehicle to solve the problem and reach the objective. This research will identify and analyze the wastes in material handling process and the impact of using automatic guided vehicle in the material handling process in manufacturing company where the highest impact is reducing the process cost, also this research will directly develop the automated guided vehicle prototype and the route / track layout.
