dc.description.abstract Based on the results of the analysis at the plan stage, from the data on the Bearing Material obtained in November 2022 – April 2023, there are 5 types of defects, namely: fretting, Galling, Crack Race, Corrosion, and Brinelling. After that, entering the next stage using a Pareto diagram, the largest type of defect from theBearing material is obtained namely the type of erosion defect in the bearing (Fretting) with a percentage of 37%. Based on the analysis using the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) tool, themain cause of the type of defect erosion in the bearing (Fretting) was found to be the priority for repair with the highest RPN value among other causes, which was 324. The main causes that are prioritized are lack of engine maintenance control and lack of attention to engine temperature so that it can cause product defects. So the improvement proposal given is to make checksheets and improve SOPs specifically for machine control so that employees can pay more attention to the machines that will be used for production activities. en_US
