Rooted in entrenched socio-political issues such as land inequality, economic marginalization and weak governance, the conflict escalated over time and leaving a profound impact on Colombian society. This study examines Norway’s crucial role as an official mediator in the peace negotiations as a neutral third-party with extensive experience in conflict resolution, highlights its active engagement in global peacebuilding as a middle-power nation. Employing a qualitative research approach, this study analyze how Norway facilitated dialogue and collaboration. Norway’s strategies, undertaken alongside Cuba and other supporting countries, underscore its ability to leverage middle-power diplomacy in successfully achieving sustainable peace. | en_US |
