THE IMPACT OF PURCHASE ITEMS, ORDER AMOUNT, AND COAL PRICE ON THE POWER GENERATION PERFORMANCE OF A THERMAL POWER PLANT IN SOUTHEAST SULAWESI

Abstract

In modern coal-fired power plants, material and fuel procurement is crucial to ensure power generation efficiency and operational stability. This study explores the impact of the purchase order items (X1), purchase order amount(X2), and coal price(X3) on power generation performance(Y) through data collection, analysis, and evaluation of the key performance indicator of power plant availability. and conducts empirical analysis using China Power Generation Group’s overseas projects as an example. The author uses quantitative analysis methods to analyze secondary data from the output reports of the Finance Department, Materials Department, and Safety Production Department. The results show that the purchase order items is negatively significant impact on The Power Generation Performance, indicating that the more order items, the more complex the procurement process, and the lower the material supply efficiency, which affects the Availability Percentage (as an indicator of power generation performance). This study is based on 47 sets of monthly data from January to December 2023. and uses a regression model to analyze the impact of procurement activities and coal price fluctuations on power generation performance empirical support for procurement optimization and operation improvement of power plants.
