AFFANDI: REMEMBERING THE EXPRESSIONIST RESEARCH AND DESIGN PRODUCTION FOR FILM REPORTS

Abstract

This project is designed to show the creative process and the character of the Indonesian famous painter Affandi. He has a different style compared with other painters. The way he paints and the way he deliver message to his painting its extra-ordinary. He has a strongly humanism message that he deliver to his painting and make the audience feels contained with his paintings. By applying narrative method, this research were using interviews and data collection techniques to dig information about Affandi’s creative process and his character. These results suggest that Affandi has through a long journey to become a well-known ekspresionist maestro. He also has a different behavior and thought that he relflects through his paintings.
