A work accident is something that is not wanted by anyone because a work accident can cause harm to both the victim and the company. By work accident, the company must find out the cause of the work accident to minimize similar incidents. In this study, work accidents at PT. DPP is analyzed using FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) to find out work accidents that are the company's priority to be handled. Based on the analysis using FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) and calculated using the Risk Priority Number (RPN), three work accidents that have high priority, namely are employees get hit by a forklift with the total RPN is 40, falling from a height (vessel) with the total RPN is 36 and the eye is exposed to splashes of the gram of iron with the total RPN is 27. Moreover, for the work accident that not happened yet, the analysis using JSA (Job Safety Analysis) to prevent the other work accident can happen in the three production process, which is blasting process, welding process and ride the forklift. To prevent the accident from happening again, provided a suggested action for holding a safety talk once a month, displaying posters regarding the consequences of workplace accidents, supervisors or EHS dept. Patrolling the production area while the production process is taking place, conducting socialization of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) regularly, the group leader reminds employees of work standards before the commencement of work activities and warns that 5K activities are well implemented after the work is completed. |
