dc.description.abstract Many factories and companies want good products at low prices. This has become a benchmark for companies to stay afloat in industrial competition. PT. XYZ as a manufacturing company that often uses welding machines to produce a car, which through the process of welding diameter nugget and issued IDR 1,294,983,360.00 in a month which is estimated to cost a lot and defects that almost per gun have defects for one year. The main problem is due to the absence of parameters that are optimized for diameter welding nuggets. There are parameter setting machines used in this experiment are Pressure (7.0A - 7.2A), Time (21s-23s), and Current (3000-3600). By using RSM method, the results of parameter setting experiment which are Current is 7.2 Ampere , Time 21cycle and Pressure 3000N, quality and productivity become good quality as the specification, from the productivity increase of 270 spotting or up to11% and decreasing defect 93 spotting or up to 41% and decrease 10 million rupiah or up to 12% per month from the initial data. en_US
