Abstract:
PT ABC Indonesia has main business operation in doll fashion, especially concern for B doll and the doll will be distributed around the world. For every year, PT. ABC Indonesia should submit the carryover toy reports. there are several reports to be submitted, such as: Material Cost Breakdown Current, Material Breakdown Next Year, Labor Hours Summary, Process Cost Current, Process Cost Next Year, Index Process Cost, Material Index Detail and Material Index Summary. In report should contain all reports listed before. In current condition, this report made manually. The engineers should input for each toy. However, there are a lot of toy to be included in submitted report. Toys will be listed in several batch, for each batch will be around 145 toys. It takes 13 days because each toy needs average 44 minutes (if it did by two engineers) while the deadline only 5 days. It caused lateness or can be an overtime. So that, in this research will observe and design the new system for making carryover toy report. System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is the method used to get an improvement. There are 5 steps, which are system planning, system analysis, system design, system implementation and system support & security. In system planning, researcher show the current condition and method used, also provides the time consumed to make a report for each toy. Next step, in system analysis researcher made: flowchart, Data Flow Diagram (DFD) and data dictionary. After system analysis there will be system design. In system design there will be Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), Physical Data Model (PDM), user interface design, input and output design. The implementation result achieves a significant time reduction in making carryover toy report, which is only need 59 minutes to finish all toys. It means the proposed system is succeeded.
