THE IMPLEMENTATION OF STORY CIRCLE FOR BUILDING A CONFLICT THROUGH THE STORY

Abstract

Story circle is a tool to plot a story. The story circle has eight stages, namely You, Need, Go, Search, Find, Take, Return, and Change. Each step will bring the character in the story an adventure in the world he lives in. A scenario has a structure that is a three-act structure which we know as Opening, Middle, and Ending. Not much different from the story circle, the three-act structure function is a structure to create a story. However, a three-act structure in the middle does not describe a clear map of how a character moves in a story. In the fictional film entitled 'Silence', I will apply story circles to my stories to build a conflict in the stories I make.
