dc.description.abstract Product quality is one aspect that determines whether a product is good or not. PT. M Indonesia is one of the manufacturing companies that pay more attention to product quality because the issue, affects product variation which will result in a high number of defects. Hair unlock is one of the issues caused by heat fusing machines. 5641 pieces of doll heads in October 2020 must be used as scrap due to machine failure. To eradicate this hair unlock issue, this research was conducted. The first stage is to design the optimal nozzle for the heat fusing process and the second is followed by determining the optimal heat fusing parameter setting for heating the doll head. There are 3 heat fusing parameter settings/factors, namely Heating Temperature (factor A, 300-330 °C), Flow Rate (factor B, 76-78 L / min), and Heating Time (factor C, 7-9 seconds). The method used in conducting this research is factorial design. The purpose of using this method is, to identify the factors that influence the process, and the relationships/interactions between the factors can be investigated. After the factors that affect the process and relationship/interaction between factors is defined, the response can be optimized by using the response optimizer. The final results obtained are, Heating Temperature (A) is set at 330 °C, Flow Rate (B) is set at 78 L / min, and Heating Time (C) is set at 9 seconds resulting in 91.25% model is fit to the data. en_US
