INCREASING EFFIECIENT AND ACCURACY IN INPUT PRCESS OF TOY PRICE TO THE SYSTEM USING VBA MACROO

Abstract

Rising demand is one of the good signs of a successful company. PT. A is the world’s top toy manufacturing company, which has grown rapidly. The demand for the toy in PT. A is increasing day by day to satisfy all the demand around the world. One of the considerations for rising demand is the accuracy of inputting the price. Based on the current condition observation, it is found that the process and the cycle time of inputting the price are not efficient. It is because of the manual process that has been done in the cost engineering department. To solve the problem, the new system is created by using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, which consists of 5 stages; system planning, system analysis, system design, system development, and system maintenance. After gathering all the information about the current condition and current system, determine the user requirement, and analyze the proposed system using a flow chart and data flow diagram, the system is created by using VBA Macro in Microsoft Excel. By using the new system, the number of process is decreased and the cycle time is reduced by 98%. It means that the proposed system is successfully reaching the objective of this research.
