dc.description.abstract |
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine is described as a cyber warfare and also could be considered as a mixture of conventional strategies and cyber operations. Russian military doctrine has led to Russia’s success against Ukraine demonstrates the value of doctrinal improvements to the information strategy and cyber warfare following the previous conflicts of the region. This research will discuss about the implementation of the strategy Russia cyber warfare attack in Ukraine in the year of 2014-2017. The objective of this research in the context of cyber security is to provide deeper understanding about the use of cyber warfare during the annexation of Crimea by Russia toward Ukraine. This research uses both analytical and descriptive method using Realism and the concept of cyber warfare as the theoretical framework that will examine the implementation of cyber warfare strategy of Russia in Ukraine as the object. Furthermore, this research finds the implementation of Russia cyber warfare attack in Ukraine in the year of 2014-2017 realized through three main pillars, which are Espionage, Cyber Attacks, and Strategic Communications. |
