dc.description.abstract The issue of sexual harassment in public spaces in Quezon city receives little attention both in academics and practitioners. However, three out of five women in Quezon experience sexual harassment in public space at least once in their lifetime. The role of UN Women is expected to help the Quezon Government in addressing this issue. Thus, this thesis aims to analyse the role of UN Women in the “Safe Cities and Public Space” Initiative in Quezon City. By using the Feminism lens, this thesis uses Clive Archer’s International Organization Theory and Stibbe’s Multistakeholders Partnership to understand the implementation of the program through the collaboration of UN Women with other stakeholders. This thesis uses the case study method to analyse the data and desk research approach to gather resources from official websites, UN documents, and the Quezon government. This thesis found that the role of UN Women has given significant improvement in an effort to prevent sexual harassment in public space. Moreover, it was also found that multistakeholder partnership helps to generate the outcomes set by UN Women in Quezon City. en_US
