Abstract:
Indonesia is a country rich with cultural diversity. This cultural become very valuable heritage for the people in Indonesia both tangible and intangible cultures. Promoting Indonesian Cultural Diversity is an important both domestic or international point of view. For the recent years, it seen that the cultural promotion gave a big contribution to several aspects such as economic and tourism. It resulted a seriousness of the Indonesian government to take focus on the implementation of cultural diplomacy abroad as an effort to promote Indonesian cultural diversity to eyes of international community. Direct cultural promotion activities such as festivals, exhibitions and other strategy that has been held in the Netherlands from 2014-2019 were the examples of the further implementation of cultural diplomacy. This research aims to analyze about the activities of the cultural promotion in the Netherlands through the program conducted by the concept of Rumah Budaya Indonesia (RBI) is related with International Relations study which utilization of cultural diplomacy. In order to answering the research question, the conduct of this research used qualitative method. The author believes that collective data of research method is more suitable to this research. This research critically aims at gathering the information received by several journals and official Government’s website regarding the cultural promotion that has been implemented. Finally, this research resulted whether the conduct of the cultural promotion will affect the progress of achieving the current national interest of Indonesia.
